RFCS now available at the Wedderburn Community Centre

The Rural Financial Counselling Service (RFCS) has welcomed the opportunity to utilise space at the Wedderburn Community Centre. Commencing in May a Rural Financial Counsellor (RFC) will be operating out of the centre on an ‘as needed’ basis.

The RFCS service is free, independent and confidentiality is assured. RFCs assists farmers who are experiencing or at risk of financial hardship. RFCs work with the farmer to identify options to improve their farm’s financial position and explore opportunities and resources available to assist those looking for better ways to run and develop their farming enterprise.

RFCs will help you analyse your financial position, develop options for you to consider and help put your chosen options into action.

These options may include:

• Cash flow budgets
• Refinancing your business loans, credit cards and long term creditor debt
• Issues with the Australian Taxation Office
• Assistance with Farm Debt Mediation with banks and creditors
• Apply for government low interest loans and other assistance you may be considering

If you would like to meet with one of our RFCs please drop in to the centre or call 1300 769 489 to make an appointment.

Our RFCs can meet with you at the Wedderburn Community Resource Centre, on your farm or elsewhere as required.

Looking forward to supporting the Wedderburn farming community.
